Israeli orthodontist Dr. Orit Nadav and a team of 12 orthodontists, engineers, industrial designers and dental technicians spent eight years developing Aerodentis, an alternative to braces for patients of any age! The SD card records usage, so that the dental professional can track progress and compliance when the patient visits every few months, or adjust the treatment plan.

When we say metal mouth, we don’t mean a mouth full of braces. In fact, faculty members of the UW School of Dentistry discovered that when bound to metal ions, substances called titanates and peroxotitanates can actually fight off oral bacteria, reducing chances of infection or tooth decay. Watch out, soon titanates might start being used in bandages, skin gels, mouthwashes, and even toothpaste. British scientists just discovered the earliest sign of tooth decay, dating back more than 13,000 years ago in the skeletal remains of over 52 adults. Remains of over half of the intact teeth showed signs of tooth decay, cavities and even bad breath. Most of the oral disease experienced by these “Stone-Age hunter-gatherers” can be contributed to their high-carb diet of plants and nuts. With little oral hygiene, most of the diseased dealt with pain constantly.
Don’t let your teeth look like a smile from the Stone-Age and remember to floss and brush daily! For more dental facts, tips and news follow us on twitter or like us on Facebook!
